Traceability marking and security feature on tobacco products – this applies to retailers
Retailers of tobacco products are responsible for securing that all unit packets of tobacco have the correct labelling, for cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco this includes traceability marking and security features.
If you are engaged in retail trade of tobacco products, you may only sell cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco with traceability and security features. If these markings are missing, the product may not be sold.
From 20th of May 2024 the rules on traceability and security features applies to all tobacco products.
