Application for a permit to handle certain goods dangerous to health
All applications for permits to handle certain goods dangerous to health must be submitted to the Public Health Agency by the individuals or companies who will handle the substances for business or for research purposes as listed in the appendix to the regulation on the Prohibition of Certain Goods Dangerous to Health Ordinance (SFS 1999:58). Permits are valid for no more than 1 year.
How to apply
You apply for a permit to handle certain goods dangerous to health by filling in and signing an application form.
If the application is handled by another person than an authorised signatory, you must fill in a power of attorney signed by an authorised signatory.

What happens when an application has been submitted?
- You will be informed that your application has been received at the Public Health Agency.
- Applications are reviewed and the Public Health Agency may request additional information if any information is missing.
- The Public Health Agency must make a decision on a permit within two months from the registration date of the completed application, according to the Prohibition of Certain Goods Dangerous to Health Ordinance (SFS 1999:58). The processing is usually faster than that.
- The Public Health Agency makes a decision and the decision is sent by e-mail to the registered contact person.
Changed conditions
Any changes to the information in the application must immediately be made known to the Public Health Agency.
Exceptions to the requirement for a permit
Exceptions to the requirement for a permit apply to the handling of mixtures containing GBL and/or 1,4-BD meeting the demands of the exception to the requirement for a permit.
