Evaluation of an introduction of vaccination against varicella in the Swedish national vaccination programme for children – Summary of evidence

The Public Health Agency has investigated whether vaccination against chickenpox should be offered as part of the national vaccination programme for children. The Agency has concluded that the vaccination meets the requirements of the Communicable Diseases Act for inclusion in a national vaccination programme.

The Communicable Diseases Ordinance contains 13 criteria that form the basis of an investigation of vaccination programmes. This knowledge base is a scientific review based on these criteria.

Folkhälsomyndigheten har utrett om vaccination mot vattkoppor bör erbjudas inom det nationella allmänna vaccinationsprogrammet för barn och konstaterat att vaccinationen uppfyller smittskyddslagens krav för att ingå i ett nationellt vaccinationsprogram.

I smittskyddsförordningen finns 13 kriterier som utgör grunden i en utredning om vaccinationsprogram. Detta kunskapsunderlag är en vetenskaplig genomgång utifrån dessa kriterier.
