Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies cannot be disabled because our website will not work without them.

CookieConsent is a necessary cookie that is stored once you have accepted or rejected cookies. It does not save or contain any personal information, only indicate whether you have accepted or rejected cookies. CookieConsent will disappear after 30 days.

cache-sprite-plyr is a necessary cookie used by our video player, Mediaflow. It is required by the cache function to optimise the response time between the visitor and the website. This cookie is permanent.

Set_Me is a necessary cookie used by our load balancer to ensure that you are not switched between servers too quickly. It is a session cookie that disappears when you close your web browser.

.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.# is a necessary cookie that helps prevent the website from being exposed to cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. It is a session cookie that disappears when you close your web browser.

.EPiForm_BID is used when you fill in a form. It keeps track of which fields you have completed. This cookie is automatically deleted after 90 days.

EPiForm_XXX is used for temporary storage when filling in a form so that it can be completed later if you are interrupted before submitting it. This cookie is automatically deleted after 90 days.

.EPiForm_VisitorIdentifier is used when you submit a form. It keeps track of which user has submitted which form. This cookie is automatically deleted after 90 days.

progress is a session cookie that disappears when you close your web browser. This cookie is used to track your progress when reading an e-publication so that you are automatically returned to your last position in the document when you reload the window. Without the cookie it is impossible to open e-publications.

ReadSpeaker text to speech

The ReadSpeaker text to speech function will not work if you do not accept settings cookies.

The ReadSpeaker cookies are third-party cookies used by our supplier ReadSpeaker Holding B.V. and its employees in Uppsala, Sweden. No information is shared with the supplier; it is only saved in your browser.

If you have accepted settings cookies and click “Listen”, a session cookie will be created and then disappear when you close your web browser.

A cookie will be stored if you change your settings in ReadSpeaker. This is to make sure the player works in the same way when you visit a new page on our website. This cookie will be saved in your browser for approximately four days.

If you use docReader to listen to a document, such as when browsing our publications, two cookies will be stored and then disappear after 30 days. The docReader cookies are not linked to the folkhalsomyndigheten.se domain but rather the docreader.readspeaker.com domain, where you are taken when using the service. One of the cookies, Dcrjobnames, contains an encrypted version of the document’s URL and the number of the most recently viewed page. The other cookie, Dcrssettings, stores information about the visitor’s user settings, such as reading speed, UI language and text size.

Cookies used for webstatistics and website surveys

We use analysis tools to collect information about how visitors use our website. This information includes the number of page views and visits. It is then used to improve our website and optimise the user experience.

Matomo analytics tool

Data collected by Matomo is anonymised, meaning that no individual can be identified. No data will be collected if you reject cookies. All data collection services operate within Sweden’s borders. The Matomo cookies are third-party cookies processed by our supplier Extellio International AB and its employees in Sweden (Stockholm and Malmö).

Cookies used by Matomo

  • _pk_id: Cookie saved for 13 months and used for storing a randomly generated analytics ID, visit count, current time (refreshed with every user action) and time of the last visit.
  • _pk_ses: Temporary cookie that disappears after your visit. Used to track what you have used on the website during your current session before it's saved in the _pk_id-cookie.
  • _pk_ref: Cookie saved for six months. Used to store the attribution data, the original referrer used to visit the website.

Website survey

We are currently conducting a website survey to find out about your user experience on our website. Answering the survey is voluntary. Cookies are used to ensure that the survey will only pop up once the visitor has been on the website for a certain amount of time and been able to form an opinion about the site. They are also used to stop the survey from popping up each time a user visits the website. The cookies do not contain any personal data. They are third-party cookies processed by our supplier Extellio International AB and its employees in Sweden (Stockholm and Malmö).

  • espace: This cookie is saved on your device for one year and is renewed in connection with each update. It remembers how much time you have spent on the website and which surveys were opened and closed.
  • espace_session: Temporary cookie that is only saved during your current session and contains information about how long you have been using the website during your current visit.
